Two Cabins Lodge on Lake Guntersville is THE home base for your next family reunion. At 3,600 square feet, this reclaimed cabin sleeps 21 people and offers tons of room to both gather together and spread out. Originally built as two separate cabins in the 1800s, this cabin is the product of a restoration to join those cabins together into one massive home. The owners have lovingly preserved the history of the place by both reusing many of the original materials, such as the 200 year old log structure of the home, and by crafting the kitchen cabinets and table out of barn wood from the 1800s. Antique decor and finishes complete the historical feel of the home. While the cabin feels rustic and authentic, every modern convenience has been provided, such as high speed internet and four televisions.
Two Cabins Lodge is made for families, with three bedrooms plus a giant bunk room. The master bedroom features one queen bed, a wood burning fireplace, and a private bath with a claw foot tub. The second and third bedrooms both have two double beds, and the 4th bedroom, a bunk room, features EIGHT twin beds, the perfect place to sleep kids or kids-at-heart. Additional sleeping spaces include one crib, one pack and play, two sleeper sofas, and two inflatable queen air mattresses. Five bathrooms are found throughout the home.
The fully-stocked kitchen was also set up with families in mind, with a giant custom table, plenty of dishes for a large group, a huge farmhouse sink, and an extra refrigerator in the basement. A high chair has even been provided for little ones. The living area on the main floor is the perfect spot to gather around the wood-burning fireplace, and kids will love the playroom in the basement.
While the interior of Two Cabins Lodge is impressive, the yard is even better. A private 15’x30’ oval pool (54” deep) is set into a sundeck overlooking Lake Guntersville. A private 2 boat slip dock provides direct access to the water, and a public boat launch is also closely accessible. A front porch provides seating at the front of home, and a large screened porch allows for comfortable views of nature at the back of the house. Other outdoor features include a fire pit, gazebo, and gas grill. A large parking space has room for 10 cars or boat/trailers.
There is so much to do at Two Cabins Lodge! Swim in the pool, boat around the lake, hang a hammock, and enjoy time with friends and family. For a change of pace, head to nearby Guntersville, where you can shop at many boutiques or antique stores, check out the local waterpark of Sand Mountain Park, or adventure on ATV and mountain biking trails.
Take in a live show at Whole Backstage Theatre, learn local history at Guntersville Museum and Cultural Center, or watch Guntersville Lake Hydrofest in June, the fastest boat race of its kind in the south. Zipline at Screaming Eagle, explore Hambrick Bat Cave by kayak (where thousands of bats emerge at sunset), or fish for the day with rentals at Town Creek Fishing Center. Explore deep geological caves at Cathedral Caverns State Park or experience life of the early 1900s at Arab Historic Village.
Have dinner under string lights in the outdoor dining space at Rock House Eatery, enjoy seafood with lake views at Wintzells Oyster House, or experience local flavors at Top O’ the River, Crawmamas, or Hog Leg Barbecue.

I'm Karen Tillery. I am a Christ-following wife and mom of four, a log cabin loving designer and decorator, and the crazy queen of up-cycling everything possible. I am a Birmingham born southern girl and an Auburn University graduate in Graphic Design. My husband and I have lived in Huntsville, AL for 22 years and have raised all 4 of our children here.
